Reflexology is a powerful, complementary therapy that contributes to your body's own natural healing capacity towards well-being, and can work happily in combination with allopathic (conventional or western) medicine.
It is much more than a foot massage!

Treatments

Clinical Reflexology

A microcosm of the macrocosm. Every bodily organ and system corresponds with a particular ‘reflex’ point in the foot. Your initial reflexology appointment includes a consultation about your lifestyle, diet, health and well-being, as well as your treatment. Your first treatment session will be around 90 minutes. We will also discuss your presenting condition and develop your unique treatment plan.

Subsequent treatments are around 60 minutes. We will address any healing responses, how you felt after your previous treatment and refer to your treatment plan. We work together on your journey to restorative health. Specific techniques cover the whole body of systems: Immune, Digestive, Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Musculo-Skeletal, Urinary, Reproductive, Lymphatic, Nervous and Limbic. Our aim is to replace dis-ease with well-being and restore your body to a relaxed state of homeostasis or Natural Balance.

Adapted Reflextherapy

This is a very specific approach to address spinal injuries, such as whiplash, that is able to be incorporated into a clinical reflexology treatment. Focusing on treating the spine and relating structures of the body, using unique AdRx techniques, the body's natural healing mechanisms are stimulated via spinal reflexes and a sustained recovery can be attained. This can still be achieved even if the injury is not a recent one. "Combining a medical understanding of spinal injury with the principles of reflexology, Adapted Reflextherapy (AdRx) is a non-invasive treatment for neuromusculoskeletal pain of short or long duration, high or low intensity." www.gunnelberry.com

Through foot reflexology, as we are not working with the associated area of pain directly, this can be a preferred option for people in severe pain or discomfort in targeted areas.

NEPIP (NeuroEndoPsychoImmunoPody)

We focus on the key areas that may be affected by stress and anxiety. NEPIP means Neuro (nervous system) Endo (hormones), Psycho (mind and emotion), Immuno (immune system) and Pody means feet in Ancient Greek! It's quite a mouthful hence the acronym. Our bodies and minds are inextricably linked and we work together with this technique using intention, breath and visualisation to create a focused and powerful healing release. Stress, especially chronic stress, can negatively affect many aspects of our physical day to day. How we think and feel affects our health, lets bring our busy minds back into balance. Essentially we work together covering all these systems through foot reflex points to alleviate levels of stress in the affected systems.

RLD technique uses the knowledge of the manual lymphatic drainage technique and applies the natural pathway of lymph onto the corresponding foot reflexes. This technique assists in reducing the affects of secondary lymphodoedema, stimluates the lymphatic system, boosts the immune system and aids toxin release. Great for sports people too! It's like an invigorating, energy restoring body massage.
